Job DescriptionTime Type:Part timeRole Details:SUMMARYThis paid intern position for High School CTE program students will provide valuable business-related experience and training with a focus on learning the different day-to-day responsibilities of the assigned retail location for professional/personal development in the Construction field.This is a paid internship for Georgetown students at $13.00/per hour.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Learns and assists with basic duties and responsibilities of all retail store positions, through institutional and on-the-job training provided by local store teamsAssists with daily store operations for which they have been trainedAttends and participates in company-sponsored internship training events as requiredComply with McCoy's employment standards and company policiesFollows Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out position responsibilitiesAttends and participates in team meetings, training sessions, and company-sponsored programs as requiredQUALIFICATIONSJunior or Senior in High School and participating in CTE or Vocational program related to the Building Trades.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to effectively communicate in a second language in some regions of the companyAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsAbility to utilize Microsoft Word & Excel, and other 3rd party software applications at a basic levelMcCoy's is an equal opportunity employer.
