advanced professional skills in academic program coordination,
advising, and strategic plan implementation while maintaining
frequent interaction with students, alumni, faculty, staff,
external agencies and special groups. Coordinate daily program
operations with a focus on student engagement, event management,
faculty support, and managing internal/external vendor
partnerships.Responsibilities
- Communicate with and develop rapport with students, faculty,
staff, campus partners and external vendors.
- Manage onsite logistics and operations (e.g., lodging,
catering, classroom space, program events), staying within budget
and ensuring timely, accurate, and quality execution of
duties.
- Work closely and collaboratively with program leadership and
cross-functional team members.
- Develop and manage event schedules.
- Prepare orientation communications and materials.
- Triage email inquiries, proactively and independently
researches matters.
- Proactively communicate information across multiple team
members and functional areas.
- Advise students individually and/or with groups regarding
academic requirements, appropriate class selection, academic
policies and procedures, and campus resources.
- Train, supervise, mentor and evaluate junior program staff,
both formally and informally as assigned.
- Provide feedback on current processes and supports planning and
implementation of process improvements.
- Maintain advising records and confidential student evaluation
records.Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Five years of experience in program administration or
coordination.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evening and
weekends.
- Demonstrated ability to work well on a team but also to work
effectively independently.
- A commitment to providing excellent administrative support to
students and faculty.
- Proven ability to exercise high levels of discretion and
judgement, providing practical solutions in the resolution of
complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage a large volume of
data with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and
Microsoft Outlook, and web-based programsRelevant education and
experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Higher Education or similar field.
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly
collaborative, respond well to feedback, work well as part of a
dynamic work environment, skilled at dealing with both internal and
external customers, effective at prioritizing tasks and
initiatives, and learn quickly.
- Experience working with graduate student populations.
- Knowledge of self-funded graduate programs.Salary Range
- $55,000 - $58,000 + depending on qualificationsWorking
Conditions
- May work around standard office conditions (shared office space
provided) with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
- This is an Austin, Texas-based position and is eligible for
Hybrid work
- Regular weekday hours required. Work hours will flex according
to program commitments, and require regular weekend and evening
availability as well as travel.
