and with dignity.Position Summary:The Collaborative
Coordinator/Fatherhood Specialist is responsible for maintaining
strong partnerships with ISD collaborations, building new
collaborations with community organizations serving in the early
childhood field, promoting involvement and engagement opportunities
with fathers who have children enrolled in OWBC Head Start & Early
Head Start programs. The position will be a part of a comprehensive
leadership team providing support in Williamson and Burnet
counties. -The position reports to Head Start Program Director and
operates under general supervision with wide latitude for the use
of independent judgment, discretion, and initiative. -Essential Job
Duties: -
- Establish open communications and relationships with ISD
leadership to facilitate MOU and other formal agreements between
ISD and Head Start
- Work closely with ISD staff to ensure protocols and Head Start
standards are being met -
- Seek opportunities within the community to expand
collaborations between Head Start and other programs providing
early childhood services
- Represent Head Start and create partnerships by attending area
agency and community collaboration meetings. -
- Research curriculum focused on engaging fathers and developing
a plan to implement activities to encourage fathers to support
child's learning and development
- Work with FCEC to support and train Family Advocates in
planning engagement activities specific to engaging fathers. -
- Assist all staff in finding resources to support family
well-being, including family safety, health, and economic stability
services -
- Participate in the Coordinator team to collect data, lead
training, and conduct community assessment -
- Collaborate with the Coordinator team to support directors,
teachers, and family service staff to provide quality comprehensive
care to all Head Start families and children -
- Travel between sites to complete work, attend meetings and
professional development seminars -
- Serve as OWBC Head Start representative on committees, boards,
community groups, and businesses -
- All employees are expected to adhere to OWBC ethics
expectations
- Must be able to cooperate and work effectively with others
- Must be diplomatic, honest, and fair
- Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of the
position

- Able to operate various word processing software, spreadsheets,
and database programs. -
