the PRN CT Technologist The CT Technologist is responsible for
performing CT exams in accordance with standards and practice set
forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and
Radiology Department policies and procedures. The CT Tech
demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and
functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic
sciences, radiation protection, quality assurance, specialized
techniques, and adheres to all Corporate Radiation Right policies.
Responsibilities of the PRN CT Technologist Perform CT - Computed
Tomography Procedures in accordance with standards and practice set
forth by the American Registry for Radiologic Technology and
Radiology Department policies and procedures.Demonstrate knowledge
of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care,
positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation
protection and specialized techniques.Verify written order matches
requisition prior to performing exam.Follow appropriate protocol
for the exam ordered.Administer contrast material using proper
technique.Manage patient flow to ensure that exams are prioritized
appropriately and performed municate pertinent information to
interpreting radiologist in a timely manner.Maintain a well-cleaned
and supplied department at all times. Qualifications of the PRN CT
Technologist EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: Graduate from a
school of Radiologic Technology approved by the AMA.Preferred: At
minimum 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist LICENSES AND
CERTIFICATES: Required: Texas Department of State Health Services -
Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT), Certified in
Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT, RTR); Post-
primary CT certification within 6 months of CT assignment. Current
certification for BLS Healthcare Provider required as per St.
David's HealthCare policy.Preferred: American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT
(CT)) St. David's Georgetown Hospital is a comprehensive healthcare
facility located north of Austin, Texas. This medical center
features more than 100 patient beds and is known for its Level IV
trauma center, Certified Primary Stroke Center, and Certified Chest
