*JOB SUMMARY** FULL TIME GEORGETOWN CLINIC - Monday to Friday 8am-5pm*The Massage Therapist performs soft tissue treatments in the clinic setting to aid in the facilitation of healing from various patient complaints. The massage therapist works within an interdisciplinary team that may include acupuncturists, physicians, and other medical providers.* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE*Performs 60 minute massage treatments including general massage, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, active release, orthopedic massage, lymphatic drainage, and passive range of motion exercises.Recommends and administers additional modalities such as hot stone massage and aromatherapy, as appropriate.Formulates treatment plans and monitors patient progress; modifies treatment as needed for the benefit of the patient.Obtains, verifies, and maintains all relevant documentation for appropriate charting of therapy rendered.Adheres to OSHA and TJC standards as well as department policies and procedures.Understands soft tissue techniques and muscle groups.
