Position Summary: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the
provision of nursing care based on standards of care and
Professional nursing practice; accountable for the outcomes of
nursing care delivered in the endoscopy unit. Administers conscious
sedation medication to Endoscopy patients per organizational policy
and procedures. Provides technical assistance to the physician
during the Endoscopic procedure and ensures the Endoscopic suite is
adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors PAR levels of the
Endoscopy equipment and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes the
Endoscopic scopes and equipment as needed and performs other duties
Education: Must meet (1) one of the following criteria:
For external applicants (individuals not currently employed by
1 . Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Master of Science in
Nursing (MSN) preferred. Degree received from an education
institution accredited by National League of Nursing Accrediting
Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
(CCNE) preferred OR;
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Previous Endoscopy or OR experience preferred.
Licensure and certification:
Current and in good standing RN Licensure with South Carolina
Board of Nursing.
American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic
Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
certification required to be initially completed with the TH Staff
Development Office within 30 calendar days of hire date (exceptions
to obtain certification from a provider other than the TH Staff
Development Office are approved by Staff development on a case by
BLS & ACLS Recertification is required every two years.
Ability to works with patients, families, physicians and other
health care providers with a high level of customer service
Physical Requirements: Physical Agility Testing (PAT) rating of
“ Medium ” While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the
time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or
condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and
frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 20 to 35 pounds
of force occasionally , and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently
, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force
constantly to move objects.

Tidelands Waccamaw Rehabilitation Hospital is a hospital within
a hospital, located inside Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.
It is the region’s only inpatient rehabilitation facility,
providing concentrated physical, occupational and speech therapy
for acute patients. The rehabilitation hospital is one of a select
few facilities in South Carolina accredited by the Commission on
Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
Two cancer treatment centers
Tidelands Health was the first to bring radiation therapy to
Georgetown County when we opened the Francis B. Ford Cancer
