The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the physician practice
provides professional nursing care to patients within Physician's
Practice. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized
knowledge, judgment, and skill are performed in accordance with
practice policy, procedure and philosophy.
Education and Experience:
| Graduate of accredited school of nursing
| 2 years previous clinical nursing experience.
| 2 or more years clinical nursing experience in a physician's
| Basic computer literacy including: Word, e-mail and internet
| Advanced computer literacy skills. Experience with Practice
| Current licensure or eligibility from Delaware Board of
Nursing or compact state as a GPN/LPN. Basic CPR certification
| Certification in Specialty area.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Knowledge of practice management and experience working with a
managed care population.
Ability to administer allergy tests and give injections.
Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to
educate patients regarding their plan of care.
