Available (Full-Time Employees) Job Summary: We are seeking a Lead
Line Cook to join the team at Escuela! In this position, you will
be responsible for being the anchor of our line during service,
leading by example, showing the ability to prepare food and dishes
at the highest level. Our ideal candidate is experienced and
committed to creating an excellent experience for our guests, and a
drive to excel in a team-driven environment with an array of moving
parts. Duties and Responsibilities: Help the chef team create menus
according to season Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and
equipment Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner
Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members Be a mentor and
leader to your fellow cooks Cultivating high morale to drive the
kitchen forward Remaining calm and supportive in stressful
situations Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock
when necessary Follow all food safety regulations Participate in
daily kitchen opening or closing procedures Perform other duties as
assigned by our chef team Qualifications: Previous experience in a
similar role is preferred Ability to use professional-grade kitchen
appliances and equipment Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques
and recipes Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure Strong
organizational and time-management skills Knowledge of food safety
practices Open to feedback and the ability to utilize it as a tool
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including
standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds Texas Food
Handlers Certification
