aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Candidates
must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel
assignments confirming no additional training was needed. Ability
to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Willingness to participate in call coverage for the service line
after normal business hours and on weekends. Description:
Candidates applying for this position must have a minimum of 3
years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR CST in a high-volume
hospital setting. Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of
cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures is required. Candidates
with less experience or those who require extensive onboarding will
not be considered. References from at least two prior travel
assignments confirming no training was needed must be provided.
Candidates should be capable of functioning independently in a
fast-paced surgical environment with the ability to hit the ground
running. The schedule for this position includes 3 shifts from
11:00 AM to 11:30 PM on weekdays, based on department needs at the
time of the interview. Participation in call coverage for the
service line after normal business hours and on weekends is
required. The CVOR service line provides surgical interventions for
routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve
repair/replacement, aortic dissection, and heart transplantation,
among others. Thoracic cases include both laparoscopic,
robot-assisted, and open procedures. Vascular procedures range from
placement/revision of ESRD grafts/fistulas to endovascular
procedures. The CVOR service line has the capacity to perform
multiple concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass.
