Summary Coordinates assignments of Respiratory Care Staff. Provides supervision of staff in the absence of Coordinator/Director. Provides respiratory care to patients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Education: MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited AMA Respiratory Care program Experience: MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year of respiratory care clinical experience. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Supervisory experience Certifications: REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE Possession of current RCP State of Texas License, Possession of current CRT / RRT Certification from NBRC Renewal required every 5 years unless grandfathered prior to July 1, 2002) REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
