Job Description:

Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our faith-based healthcare organization. This role involves working in a dynamic environment to assist our cardiovascular physicians by performing diagnostic and interventional procedures that support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac ailments. As a member of Ascension, you will be part of a caring team that thrives on supporting both patients and each other in our network of hospitals and clinics. Assist physicians during invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures including but not limited to catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology studies. Prepare patients for procedures: explaining techniques, positioning patients, and applying sterile field. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, recording devices, and other medical instrumentation with precision. Monitor patient vital signs and heart rhythm during procedures, providing updates to medical staff. Conduct physiologic and radiographic studies, including stress testing, EKG, and echocardiograms. Adhere to safety protocols and handle hazardous materials safely. Maintain detailed medical records and reports in accordance with federal and organizational regulations. Strong technical proficiency with cardiovascular monitoring systems and other related medical equipment. Excellent communication and patient care skills to explain procedures and comfort patients during stressful situations. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment as part of a multidisciplinary team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) proficiency. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred. Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or similar credentials are advantageous.
