Job Description:

Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled CAT Scan Technician to join our faith-based healthcare organization. As a part of our team, you will play a critical role in our ongoing efforts to transform healthcare and provide top-tier, compassionate, personalized care. Working in our state-of-the-art facilities, you will leverage cutting-edge technology to assist our healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating patients. Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Adjust equipment and patient positioning to obtain the best image quality. Assess and analyze computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare team members to understand and perform the scanning procedures correctly. Implement all safety procedures to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation for patients and staff. Maintain and perform minor repairs on radiologic equipment, maintaining records of repairs, procedures, and maintenance. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and answering any questions to reduce anxiety. Proficiency in operating CAT scan equipment Strong analytical skills to assess images Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography State license as required by the particular state of employment Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
