Job Description:
Ascension seeks a dedicated and compassionate RN-Cardiac
Rehabilitation to join our faith-based healthcare team, aiming to
transform healthcare through innovation and to provide personalized
care in our Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit. This role is pivotal in
supporting patients recovering from cardiac surgeries, heart
attacks, and other heart-related conditions. You will play a key
role in assisting patients in their recovery, promoting healthy
lifestyles, and reducing the risk of further heart issues through
dedicated cardiac care plans. Assessing patient health problems and
needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and
maintaining medical records. Administering nursing care to ill,
injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. Advising patients on
health maintenance and disease prevention or providing case
management. Monitoring all aspects of patient care, including diet
and physical activity. Providing education and support to patients
and their families about lifestyle changes for optimal
cardiovascular health. Liaising with healthcare providers,
including doctors and specialists, to make interdisciplinary
treatment plans. Proficiency in managing stress tests, ECGs, and
other cardiac diagnostic tools. Strong understanding of cardiac
medications and their administration. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and
medical staff. Capability to handle medical emergencies
proficiently, applying ACLS protocols. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered
Nurse (RN) license. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS). Certification as a Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional
(CCRP) preferred but not required.
