ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in San Antonio, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work in a 22-bed Burn and Reconstructive Care Unit that also manages off-service patients in PCU status including stroke and cardiac patients • Patient ratios of 1:3/4 • Every other weekend schedule with no on-call requirements • Float to PCU/Telemetry/Medical Surgical zones as needed • Use standard equipment and Meditech EMR system • Perform typical procedures including dressing changes • Work collaboratively with team of 35 staff members including CNs, RNs, PCTs, and UCs • Must demonstrate independent personality and work style • Required certification: BLS • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required • Must be experienced with burn and reconstructive care as well as PCU-level patients Facility: This healthcare organization operates a specialized 22-bed Burn and Reconstructive Care Unit that provides comprehensive care for burn patients while also managing off-service PCU patients including stroke and cardiac cases.
