Job Description:
We have a great opportunity with Lone Star Circle of Care! We
are searching for a Mobile Mammography Technologist to join our Big
Pink Bus team to bring mobile mammograms to underserved and
uninsured women in Central Texas. The schedule for this position is
30 hrs./week, 7am-6pm, Wednesday - Friday with the ability to shift
to Thursday - Saturday. We offer a comprehensive compensation

Leave and Sick Leave As a member of Lone Star Circle of Care's
(LSCC)'s Mobile Mammography Team, use ionizing radiation to perform
digital 3D mammography imaging in accordance with state, national
and imaging services guidelines. Travel to LSCC clinics and other
community-based sites in the Central Texas area to provide
screening mammography services in a mobile environment. Work with
LSCC leadership team and radiology facilities to incorporate
technologies, practices and procedures to assure that standards are
developed and followed. Meet and exceed patient expectations and
adhere to established practices while assuring the best possible
care for patients receiving services on the mobile unit.
Responsibilities: Perform radiologic testing specific to
mammography on a mobile unit to provide high-quality images to
radiologists and physicians for interpretation. Observe protocols
and evaluate images for diagnostic quality. Travel on mobile unit
to scheduled sites for single-day events across Central Texas.
Assist in set-up, operation, loading, and unloading of equipment
and prepare mobile unit for use. Maintain competency in mammography
and radiologic technology procedures and protocols. Perform quality
control procedures and implement corrective action when
appropriate. Complete documentation as indicated in regulatory
guidelines. Monitor protocols and recommend changes to leadership
team as needed. Check equipment and accessories to ensure proper
working order. Determine the need for equipment maintenance and
report malfunctions in a timely manner. Establish and maintain a
clean, orderly and safe working environment to achieve professional
appearance. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensure that individuals on the mobile unit observe radiation safety
procedures, performing education when needed. Demonstrate
flexibility by adjusting work schedule as needed to respond to
callback situations and occasional service provision on evenings
and weekends. Explain procedures and provide appropriate breast
health education to patients and family members. Enter charges for
services and supplies and complete patient documentation in a
timely and error-free manner. Assist with patient interview,
previous image retrieval and scheduling follow-up appointments.
Maintain required accreditations, certifications and licenses.
Comply with LSCC policy and regulatory guidelines. Participate in
activities associated with performance improvement, quality
initiatives, The Joint Commission, and the Health Resources and
Services Administration. Focus on providing compassionate,
professional, and patient-centered customer service and working
proactively as part of the Team. Perform outreach to partner
organizations and individuals to increase awareness of and
engagement in services. Maintain and document medical supply
inventory. Participate in projects and prepare correspondence,
forms, reports, and presentation materials. Attends required
meetings and in-service trainings. Perform other duties as
assigned. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSE: Associate or
more advanced degree Current American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists license in Mammography [ARRT(M)] Medical Radiologic
Technologist Certification (MRT) from Texas Medical Board or Texas
Department of State Health Services Minimum experience of two years
as a Radiologic Technologist in Mammography Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
within 2 weeks of hire Experience in using a computer for online
data entry, as well as software for word processing and spreadsheet
development (Microsoft Word and Excel) PREFERRED EXPERIENCE,
EDUCATION AND LICENSE: AAS, BS, or MS in Radiologic Science or
similar degree Bilingual English/Spanish language skills ***All
LSCC employees are required to provide proof of COVID-19
vaccination (full series) or proof of a qualifying medical or
