company, employee-focused atmosphere. As a member of the Strategic
Business Unit team, the Product & Market Manager is responsible for
innovating using broad and far vision and expertise in target
markets, identifying customer requirements to deliver new
integrated products and services to address assigned market needs
and opportunities. The Product & Market Manager will be responsible
for the overall development, growth, and leadership of assigned
product lines, including profitability and sales forecast
attainment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform extensive and continuous research of the assigned
market(s) to identify macro trends, target customers, existing
solutions providers/competition, pricing and define differentiation
opportunities through AirBorn.
- Communicate with current customers, prospective customers, and
market leaders to understand requirements within assigned
market(s), both current and expected evolution.
- Collaboratively with Sales, Engineering, and cross-industry SBU
Product & Market Managers, define strategic direction and
priorities for assigned markets and products considering AirBorn
and SBU strategic objectives, competencies, market opportunities,
and competitive landscape.
- Through collaboration with AirBorn Engineering, create
integrated product/service roadmaps by sub-market addressing
product/service need gaps inclusive of new product designs and
product line extensions, requirements and specifications.
- Leverage project management practices, coordinates with
engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales to develop
objectives and schedules for all phases of product development,
introduction to market and end of life. Maintain long term product
forecasts, 6-24 month outlook.
- Plans, organizes, and controls an assigned product line from
development throughout the life cycle to attain sales forecast,
optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and company growth
objectives. Reviews progress continually throughout the product
life cycle to ensure attainment of financial objectives including
cost, standards, and budget; provides cost improvement
- Collaboration with marketing, sales and partner SBUs to launch
new products/services into the market. Provides marketing tools to
support existing and new products through catalog, samples,
application brochures, news releases, advertising, price sheets and
other means. Create compelling positioning message(s) including the
development and maintenance of product datasheets, white papers,
and other technical documentation.
- Provides the sales team with the necessary
market/product/service expertise to enable value based sales, to
both internal and external customers. Oversees and provides
application engineering support for product line and provides
technical and product application training both internally and

- Bachelor degree in a related discipline
