About the PositionThe Account Manager will act as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to their accounts. The ideal candidate will own all facets of operational excellence and will rely on sales and customer service skills to build and grow relationships. The candidate will use industry knowledge and experience to oversee assigned accounts, develop new business from existing accounts, and seek new sales opportunities.
What are the key responsibilities?

  • Educate account contacts on the value and benefits of our business model.
  • Identify and develop relationships with the key decision makers, uncover new business opportunities, recommend differentiated solutions, negotiate, and win the business.
  • Exchange in conversation with consistent face-to-face and phone interactions with accounts.
  • Drive superior account satisfaction, retention and growth.
  • Engage with Cooperative Management to develop strategies to move their business forward faster.
  • Manage daily delivery of information and maintain regular, consistent communication with account contacts to ensure sustained profitable growth.
  • Remain informed of our products and services to more effectively perform sales activities.
  • Utilize all available resources, differentiating the organization to grow the business.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Utility industry knowledge required.
    • 5+ years' experience proven sales experience.
    • Must have a Valid Drivers' License - Travel - 100% required
    • Strong computer skills, to include ERP and Microsoft Office Suite Products for generating sales reports.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Fundamental understanding of the basic sales and account management processes.
    • Ability to think strategically while acting independently to successfully manage achievement of short-term goals.
    • Ability to quickly learn new technology and translate it into solutions that address customer needs.
    • Proven ability to create demands for solutions.
    • Demonstrated understanding of pricing strategy.
    • Highly motivated team player with a mature, positive attitude, and a passion for working with customers.
      Physical Requirements:
      • Must be able to safely operate Motor Vehicle.
      • Must be able to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another.
      • Must be able to communicate, converse with, and exchange information by means of the spoken and written word.
      • Job will require repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers.
      • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, pull, twist, push, and pull as necessary to move equipment and/or product.
