What You'll Be Doing Lead and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient quarry operations. Oversee equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime. Implement preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with operations and safety teams to maintain compliance with standards. Manage maintenance resources, including parts inventory and contractor support. What Are We Looking For Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment and mechanical systems. Ability to lead teams effectively and foster a culture of safety and accountability. Skilled in planning, prioritizing, and executing maintenance tasks in a dynamic environment. Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence. Essential Experience and Skills Minimum of 5 years in maintenance or at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a related industry. Strong leadership abilities with clear, concise, and respectful communication skills. Ability to maintain composure and professionally present information, responding effectively to questions. Motivation and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with fluctuating shift schedules, extensive movement across the plant, and occasional lifting of heavy objects and working in confined spaces. Work Environment This role is based in a quarry setting with exposure to outdoor elements, heavy machinery, and varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Physical Demands of the Job Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and navigate uneven terrain. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing on equipment or structures. Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed for maintenance tasks. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when required. Regular use of hand tools and power tools for equipment repairs and adjustments.
