Contractor Work Model: Remote or Stonington, Ct or Charlotte,
NC
System One is actively seeking an experienced Pipe Stress Engineer
to support a client on two high-profile engineering projects. This
contract position requires expertise in AutoPipe and ASME B&PV
Code, with a focus on delivering high-quality stress analysis for
nuclear and industrial piping systems. Remote work may be
considered for the right candidate.
Project Scope: Reactor Piping System Medium: Molten Salt and Inert
Gas
Code: ASME B&PV Code, Section III, Division 5
Note: AutoPipe does not directly support Division 5; a custom
process is used to extract relevant model data for fatigue and
creep evaluation
Due Date: July 2025
Chilled Water and Raw Water Piping Medium: Water
Code: ASME B&PV Code, Section III, Division 1
Due Date: August 2025
Responsibilities: Perform detailed pipe stress analyses using
AutoPipe
Support design compliance with ASME Section III, Division 1 and
Division 5 requirements
Extract and interpret data to evaluate fatigue and creep per
Division 5 guidelines
Collaborate with mechanical designers and engineers to provide
stress input and resolve design issues
Prepare engineering reports, calculation packages, and
documentation to support deliverables
Requirements: Demonstrated expertise with AutoPipe
Strong working knowledge of ASME B&PV Code, Sections III Div. 1
and Div. 5
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, piping specifications,
and mechanical design documents
Excellent technical communication and problem-solving skills
Contract Details: Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 4-month minimum, with potential for multi-year
extension
Location: Negotiable (Remote option available for qualified
candidates) Stonington, Ct or Charlotte, NC
