Fine Print Farms is hiring! Our lesson program is growing substantially and we're looking for trainers to add to our team! Fine Print Farms is a premier equestrian destination in the Texas Hill Country dedicated to the equestrian sport of Eventing, which includes Dressage, Show Jumping, and Cross Country Jumping. We are seeking 2 English Horse Riding Instructors in the Bulverde TX, Spring Branch TX, San Antonio TX, or Boerne TX area looking to teach English riding (Dressage, Jumping, and Eventing) lessons. Looking for beginner and advanced instructors. Options can be discussed such as full-time/part-time hours, housing, bringing own horse, etc appon hire. Responsibilities -Teach children (6 and up) and adults how to ride horses in English styles of Dressage, Show Jumping, and/or Cross Country (Eventing) -Safely educate riders following the directions of the Farm's Head Instructor -Teach and assist riders to gather horses, groom, tack and unpack, and put up horses properly - supervise younger students to ensure proper handling -Continually develop the riding skills of students from the very basic skills to advanced abilities based on their competency -Assist with maintaining the general appearance and maintenance and security of riding equipment -Continually seek to improve their riding and teaching competency - trainers receive free instruction from the Head Trainer -Demonstrate a genuine love of horses - treat them with passion and respect and instill this feeling in students -Demonstrate a team attitude and enjoy being part of something special (The Farmily) -Willingly work to improve the Farm and the overall lesson programMinimum Requirements -A strong understanding of horses -At least two years as an instructor or working student -Ability to ride competently in the English style to be taught (dressage, jumping, and/cross country) -A strong understanding of the English riding styles (especially those being taught) -Ability to tack and untack English quickly and without assistance -Ability to walk long distances, stand for long periods of time, and be outside in the elements -Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Requirements -At least four years working as an instructor -Competitive riding experience in English disciplines -Expert knowledge of horses and English riding -Ability to drive large trucks and tow horses -Broader understanding of Western styles of riding and General Horsemanship Note: Additional opportunities exist for those who wish to take on more and varied responsibilities for the Farm, such as feeding, exercising horses (ground and riding), assistant barn management, etc. Fine Print Farms also has several special programs (Birthday Parties, Team Builders, Horsemanship Classes, etc.) that can provide additional opportunities.
