Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time position is available for a visually impaired teacher to support students across K-12 grade levels. This role serves grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, offering specialized instruction for visually impaired students. The position is based in New Braunfels, TX, with a potential itinerant schedule traveling between multiple school sites within the district. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Adapt curriculum and materials to accommodate visual impairments. Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student learning and development. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Participate in team meetings and professional development. Provide assessment and documentation related to students' visual impairments. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification or credentials in teaching students with visual impairments. Experience working with K-12 students across multiple grade levels. Strong understanding of visual impairment teaching strategies and adaptive technology. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to travel between schools as needed. Position Details: Full-time contract for 37.5 hours per week. Monday through Friday schedule. K-12 student population. Primarily based in New Braunfels, TX, with itinerant duties.
