actively recruiting experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) –
Federal USACE Project with capabilities in all aspects of
commercial construction, including overseeing field construction
for USACE project near San Antonio, TX. Prior Federal project
experience required. Quality Control Manager: We are seeking an
experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to oversee and manage
quality assurance and control activities for a U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers (USACE) construction project. The QCM will ensure
compliance with USACE standards, project specifications, and
contractual requirements to deliver high-quality results on
schedule. This role requires proactive leadership, attention to
detail, and expertise in USACE construction processes.
Responsibilities: Quality Management System : Develop, implement,
and maintain a compliant Quality Control Plan (QCP) in accordance
with USACE requirements. Submittal Reviews : Manage and review all
project submittals to ensure compliance with contract
specifications. Preparatory Meetings : Conduct preparatory,
initial, and follow-up inspections for all construction activities.
Daily Reports : Prepare and submit daily QC reports, documenting
project activities, testing, and inspections. Deficiency Management
: Identify, track, and resolve non-conformances or deficiencies
promptly. Coordination : Serve as the primary liaison between the
USACE, project stakeholders, and subcontractors on quality-related
issues. Testing Oversight : Coordinate and ensure proper execution
of all required tests (e.g., soil compaction, concrete strength).
Safety Compliance : Work closely with the site safety officer to
ensure compliance with safety standards. USACE Coordination :
Maintain consistent communication with USACE representatives and
respond to any quality concerns. Documentation : Maintain and
organize all project QC documentation for final closeout and audit
purposes. Schedule Adherence : Monitor progress to ensure quality
milestones are achieved without delays. Training : Conduct
quality-related training for site personnel and subcontractors as
needed. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in
engineering, construction management, or a related field
experience. Experience : Minimum 5 years of construction quality
control experience, including 2 years on USACE projects.
Certifications : USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for
Contractor's certification (mandatory). OSHA 30-Hour Construction
Safety certification (preferred). Technical Skills : Proficient in
quality management software and tools. Familiarity with USACE
specifications and RMS/QCS software. Leadership : Strong
communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Travel :
Willingness to work on-site at the project location. Capable of
multitasking and successfully managing multiple projects and
initiatives simultaneously. Motivated to enhance operational
efficiency and drive continuous improvement. Working knowledge of
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project. Ability to travel to
project site and work flexible hours as required. Valid driver
license required. Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO): We are seeking
an experienced and qualified Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) to
join our team for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
construction project. The SSHO will be responsible for implementing
and maintaining safety protocols, ensuring compliance with EM
385-1-1 regulations, and fostering a culture of safety on-site.
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce the Site-Specific
Safety and Health Plan (SSHP). Conduct daily safety inspections,
identify hazards, and implement corrective actions. Ensure
compliance with USACE safety standards, EM 385-1-1, OSHA
regulations, and company policies. Lead safety meetings, toolbox
talks, and training sessions for on-site personnel. Investigate
accidents and near misses, providing detailed reports and
recommendations. Maintain and submit all required safety
documentation to the USACE and project stakeholders. Work closely
with the project management team to ensure safety remains a top
priority. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of construction safety
experience, preferably with USACE or federal projects. Completion
of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Course (or higher). Current
certifications in CPR/First Aid and AED training. Thorough
knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards. Strong written and
verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain meticulous safety
