Accountant I Hybrid | San Antonio, TX About the Opportunity: CFS
is partnering with a reputable financial institution to identify an
Accountant I who will gain hands-on experience in core accounting
tasks while contributing to financial reporting for multiple
subsidiaries. Why This Role Stands Out: Hybrid Schedule : In-office
the first 4-5 business days of each month First Month Fully
In-Office : For training and onboarding Annual Bonus :
Discretionary, based on company performance (9% awarded last year;

Responsibilities: Reconcile 8-10 general ledger accounts daily
Investigate and resolve discrepancies with minimal supervision
Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP Maintain
Excel-based documentation to support journal activity Assist with
financial statement preparation and variance analysis Communicate
with internal teams and vendors to resolve GL-related issues
Cross-train on other departmental functions for team coverage
Support ongoing process improvement initiatives Perform additional
duties as assigned Qualifications: At least 2 years completed
toward a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Less than
one year of relevant professional experience Understanding of GAAP
and accounting principles Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office
proficiency Excellent communication, analytical, and
time-management skills Ability to work independently and manage
multiple priorities Familiarity working in financial institutions
