Staff Accountant About the Company and Opportunity: Our client is a commercial property management firm located in the DT area The company is growing and adding to the Corporate Accounting team The accounting group is a tight knit, easy going group The company is built on key pillars: accountability, collaboration, creativity and integrity Overview of The Staff Accountant Role Understands the accrual basis method of accounting. Recording prepaid expenses and accruals as needed and expensing when appropriate. Enter payroll data into accounting software from payroll reports. Recognizing fixed asset expenditures and capitalizing on balance sheet. Records month/quarter-end adjustments as needed. Preparation of 1099's. Maintains effective work paper techniques and correct documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications for The Staff Accountant A bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field is a plus. Prior experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or accounting department is preferred 2 years of accounting experience.
