Role Understands the accrual basis method of accounting. Recording
prepaid expenses and accruals as needed and expensing when
appropriate. Enter payroll data into accounting software from
payroll reports. Recognizing fixed asset expenditures and
capitalizing on balance sheet. Records month/quarter-end
adjustments as needed. Preparation of 1099's. Maintains effective
work paper techniques and correct documentation skills. Preferred
Qualifications for The Staff Accountant A bachelor's degree in
accounting or similar field is a plus. Prior experience in accounts
payable, accounts receivable or accounting department is preferred
